Personal Background

  • Grew up in Austin, TX and attended McCallum High School- participated in basketball and softball, served on Student Council as a Class representative, received the Gus Clift Memorial Scholarship for excellence in athletics. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and was excited to attend one of the best teaching colleges at Southwest Texas State University which is now Texas State University and still one of the top teaching schools in the country.

  •  Softball has always been a passion and I have enjoyed coaching over the years in school, little league, and club. Both of my daughters were part of the 2022 State Championship softball team and I am proud to say that both of my daughters received athletic scholarships to play softball in college, one at EasternNew Mexico University and one at Dakota Wesleyan University.
